PRIMITIVE ART ORCHESTRA : Formed in 2011 by Iori Kimura – bohemianboodoo’s keyboardist, Takao Ito – TRI4TH / THE MAN’s drummer, and the up-and-coming young bassist Kohei Morita. The two words [PRIMITIVE] and [ORCHESTRA] were chosen after their will to be pristine and simple-hearted, and their will of the band to be magnificently expanded despite being limited in the trio formation —- a fantasy world is unfolded through these opposite images. Their first album “HELIX”, released in Septempber 2014 by the Playwright label, won the prize of the “Album of the Year New Star” category at the JAZZ JAPAN AWARD 2014. They appeared on the stage of the 14th Tokyo JAZZ in September 2015. Now, on the 9th of December 2015 – their long-waited second full album “qualia” – was released. www.primitiveartorchestra.com
