『物事がデジタルになるということは、基本的に無料化することだ。』某IT経営者が語っていた言葉です。裏を返すと「自分がやっている仕事や活動に圧倒的な個性や魅力を付加できれば、それは新たなチャンスだ。」と捉えることもできます。デジタルの対はアナログではなく、オラオラ=いわば強烈な人間らしさなのかもしれません。フライヤーもそんな感じにしました。

The focus of the recent DJ work has shifted more to effects as CDJ measures BPM and keys are even adjusted by DJ software. What is music? What is DJ? What is human work? DJ music, different from AI DJ, provided answers to these questions with the mysterious human power. It miraculously goes over the subtle audio lag that are almost missed as well as BPM which goes crazy to bring a moment. It is an awe-inspiring moment which can only be created by an analog DJ like being spelled or of divine possession. While it is impossible for CDJ, PC DJ, or AI DJ to measure today, tracks with “irregular time” which is commonly used in jazz employs analog record to adjust the human body wavelength. The way the tracks are connected with an instant luck solely with the professional mixing techniques is nothing but mysterious.
CDJがBPMを計測し、PC DJではキ－迄合わせてくれる様になり、 DJの作業がエフェクト中心になった昨今。音楽とは？ DJとは？人間の作業とは？の問いに答えを出したのが、アナログDJの、人力による神がかった瞬間、ミスりそうなギリギリで微妙なキ－のズレ、狂いそうなBPMを奇跡的に乗り越えていき、ゾクっとさせる魔法の様な、人間にしか出来ない、AI DJとは違う神秘的な人間の力でのDJミュージック。ジャズには多い『変拍子』の曲は、まだCDJもPC DJもAI DJも計測不可能な現在に、人間の身体と波長を合わせるアナログレコードを使い、職人技のミックス技術のみと、瞬間の運で曲を繋いでいく、それはまさに神秘的だ。- Text by Eiji Takehana
